It’s in the Name: A Look at Our Exceptional Quality Standards

At DFF, our commitment to producing the highest-quality precision machined components and electromechanical assembly products is enshrined in what our name stands for: Defect Free Flow. This means that whenever we take on a medium- to high-volume contract manufacturing project, we make sure that the final product is as near perfect as it can possibly be—a high bar that’s achieved by following exceptional quality standards. In this blog, we’re highlighting how our quality assurance standards set us apart from all other competition.

Top-Tier Quality Assurance

Quality assurance, also known as QA, is an essential step in manufacturing the defect-free products that our customers have come to expect. While QA processes are used by most other manufacturers to consistently minimize unexpected and unwanted issues, we go to extreme lengths to ensure that all our products are tested and verified properly so that our customers get what they expected, every single time.

We accomplish this level of quality assurance by utilizing our 6,500-square-foot temperature- and humidity-controlled quality lab with 18 coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to achieve critical dimensions with pinpoint accuracy. We even hold our partner suppliers’ products to our quality standards, by helping them with quality issues and aiding them in developing better means for production and quality improvement. Our team offers quality planning services including control plans, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), process capability studies, supply chain management, statistical process control, gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) and more.

When it comes to our electromechanical assembly & test services, our highly skilled technicians are focused on providing quality and reliability from the start of the project. In fact, our professionals have familiarity with offering real-time statistical process control (SPC) and offer testing services such as nitrogen, hydrostatic and helium leak detection. We also offer hipot and ground continuity testing, which tests the insulation of components carrying electric current and for any shorting of electrical components, respectively. Our brand-new visual factory also helps us meet quality standards by providing real-time insights as well as a clean and organized shop and QA floor, and visual instruction manuals for employees.
